HTML5 VS FLASH 10.1

For those of you interested. There is a decent benchmark comparison script for HTML5 vs FLASH.

http://www.themaninblue.com/writing/...ve/2010/03/22/

It's simple particle animation. For me HTML5 does a little better on my Dell XPS 420 PC running chrome in windows vista.

HTML5

42 FPS

FLASH 10.1

39 FPS

For Minefield:

- HTML5: 12FPS
- Flash: 24FPS

It all boils down to as how the browser implements it!

cheers ...

yeah there both ECMAScript. But google (at least for chrome) has said they'ed further optimize javascript. It's a shame that javascript has so much potential with HTML5 yet is so dated and underdeveloped at this time.
