Intel Has released Power-saving versions of its Core 2 Quad Q8200, Q9400 and Q9550 CPUs, which simply have an "s" to denote the new model. The new "s" version reduce power consumption from 95W to 65W but are still built on the same architecture as the previous models.

The new chips are, as you would expect, slightly more expensive.
