area 51 is here, why are 2 usb ports being used from inside system

my system is here,,im looking at the back of tower and 2 of the usb ports are already being used by cables coming out the rear of case?..also setup guide shows 2 serial ports this has only one??

The cables coming out of the rear are for the 4 front USB plugs.

awacs is right...

Unfortunately, some motherboards only have one riser on the motherboard that will power two of the four usb ports in front. AW routes the two others through the case from the back ports.

If you don't use the front ports you should be able to remove the wire and then you'll have access to those additional ports in back.
