depends on how you value service and pampering. ALX will use top quality components. You have zero worry there. The 7500 series now offers water cooling so the value from a component standpoint is diminished, however you will be pampered with awesome customer service from day1. Regular customer service is great, but you will feel like a king with ALX. If you have the money to spend, and you like VIP...ALX will treat you great!!!!!!!!!!

I presume that you would get same customer service as everyone else, ive never had crap service and theve always tried to sort problems out in a timely fashion, so i presume alx or bog standard cheapo pc they would both get same level of service, albeit alx owners may get 1 specific person to contact...

The watercooling on the 7500 is not the same as the ALX.

I disagree. You do get one person that caters to your whole order. When you first dial up they will ask you what your needs are, what you would like to accomplish etc. At one point, they offered to tweak customers systems. I am sure they still offer to install games and utilities of your choice. Like I said AW customer service is great, but it is NOT the same as ALX service..nor should it be. First class is first class. rgr

It is an awesome machine. It really is. The service you get when you buy the machine is great. The sales people are really helpful and treat you like a king when you purchase one. However the tech support part leaves much to be desired. I had an issue with stability and was told that even though my unit was the last of the ALXs to get shipped overclocked, they will not help me with the stability issue and that they will only assist me with restoring it to default settings. I recently had an issue where I was getting random shutdowns and the mobo flashed about 6 error codes. There is still an issue with it but the supposed ALX tech told me to run out to the store and fill up the Koolance with distilled water. The service was what I would expect from any place I bought a computer from. The guy was helpful don't get me wrong. I guess I just expected them to be like "OMGOZZLE! your ALX is broken! Let me comfort you and make sure all is ok!" etc etc. Thus why I state that the ALX...albeit a great machine is not worth the extra cost over a 7500.

Depends

As a 7500 owner I have one word for you...

NOISE!

(and yes, I even activated the quiet and cool settings in an attempt to muzzle it)

I love my 7500, and just for clarification not in a Darth Beavis love sort of way, but by the gods of all things audible this thing is LOUD! If you intend to place your computer up on the desk rather than relegating it to a cubby, or worse yet the floor, then be prepared for noise akin to a 747 taxiing as your processor and video cards heat up.

In retrospect I would go the ALX route if I had to do it over again. I'm going to be forced to water cool my 7500 and will likely void the 3 year warranty in the process.
