HTC Desire

HTC Desire

Display:
It is striking bright with a 3.7" AMOLED display (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) that offers a high contrast and is relatively economical

Despite the high resolution of 480x800 pixels writings are mildly frayed, and the surfaces appear less homogeneous than the display Primus Motorola Milestone. Overall, the screen gives a good impression to view.

The Desire comes at 119x60x11,9 mm in size. It is slightly narrower, but slightly longer and thicker than the iPhone yet both weighing at 135g

Seven at one stroke: Double-click the Home button or wiping finger gives a live preview of seven freely configurable home screen. One navigates with a light pressure on the icon

Operation: latest smartphones uses navigation buttons as sensor buttons. The downside: reaction to the slightest touch. HTC has opted for mechanical buttons with good pressure point on its Desire

Data and Power Requirements: the data connection and the power supply can be accessed via a micro USB port. HTC thus supports the current standard of cable charging.

Top: a standard 3.5mm jack for headphones or headset, and the power button. With it, one can toggle the display into standby.

Volume keys: the side-mounted volume control offers quick access to control the volume of ring tones and media playback.

Operation: The edge of the casing is made of plastic that can sport the aubergine colour. Touch screen works perfectly and without delay.

Camera: The back is fitted with a slip-resistant matte black finish. The auto-focus camera adjusts out slightly. Images gives coordinate, thanks to GPS-equipped sensor ("geotagging")

Face Detection: The camera of the HTC Desire also recognizes faces. In the example, you even made Gene Hackman on the cover of COMPUTER BILD to be identifiable, seen in the white frame

Internet: The internet connection went smoothly. A status bar provides information about the charge. Some pages are built up modular with some text and images appear earlier than other.

Internet: Despite the high resolution some websites are hard to read due to the small font . The multi-touch allows zooming in, and is also much more convenient

As to the "HD2" by HTC with its mega-display is currently in the field of "Windows Mobile" is mobile, the "Desire" is for mobile phones with Google's "Android" operating system (Thanks XXL AMOLED touch screen diagonal: 9.5 cm) is currently unrivaled in its class.

The screen will support gesture control like the iPhone.

A super-fast one-gigahertz processor, the brand-new Android 2.1 operating system and a five-megapixel camera. The HTC Desire will be available for 499 euros in April.

Source.

cheers ...
