GeForce GTX 470 and 480
nVidia Twitter has informed the availability of the the new cards based on Femi GF100 512MB core version (?) - GeForce GTX 470 and 480.
Rumor that these cards will be introduced by 26th of March 2010 at a possible pricing of €699. Furthermore it can be of limited editions that can be dropped (interrupted) after a few 100s (demo) units (?). Source. (translation = qhn) |

Yes, Ill be waiting for review but I doubt ill be upgrading my 5870's for it. Well see how they run. I need to see nvidias surround run as great as eyefinity for me to even think about it.

"nVidia Surround Vision"
But i dont know how well they support it. Hopefully quite well as that will help multi monitor gaming take off even more. |

nVidia made a presentation of its Surround Vision at CES but since then it has been quiet. And rumors are such that one might need an SLI configuration to support this SV feature. If that is true, nVidia has a way to go to get enthusiasts back from ATI.
cheers ...

Well. Holding true to the tradition of delayed performance, the above "beasts" will not be available to the mass at least until after April 2010 now. There will still be some limited quantities for show (CeBit?).
cheers ...

PCTuning from the Czech Republic got a hand on one card recently and posted this.
![]() As one can see it is based on GF100 A3 using GeForce 196.78 Beta Since there is no information on the tact sequences one can take it that the card is not quite "there" yet. But then 26th of March is quite a way ![]() cheers ...
